Adventures in Nature, Happy Children, and a Healthier Environment!

Thanks to our Outdoor Time program, children can experience nature up close and personal. This initiative allows Berlin elementary school children to connect with nature through the “Outdoor Time” project. Whether in parks, by lakes, or in forests, there’s always something exciting to discover! Our wilderness educators, Rüdiger and Huge, encourage children to explore and help them perceive nature with all their senses.

What does a typical day look like?

There isn’t just one answer, as every Outdoor Time day is unique with us. However, one thing is certain: alongside plenty of fun, you can always expect some of the following activities:

🌞 Learning about the seasons
🐝 Discovering animals and plants
🏃‍♀️ Climbing, hiding, sneaking, and running
🐦‍⬛ Searching for tracks and exploring bird sounds
🔎 Going on adventures with binoculars and magnifying glasses
🤝 Trust-building and creative games
🙏 Mindfulness exercises
👫 Group activities to strengthen community bonds

This is what Outdoor Time can really do:

→ Reduction of stress and aggression
→ Decrease in ADHD symptoms
→ Prevention of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases
→ Enhancement of creativity and cognitive abilities
→ Slowing-down effect of nature
→ Special attention and consideration for each child (equal opportunities and mental well-being)

Our wilderness mentors:

Rüdiger:
“I’m all about getting folks of all ages fired up to ask cool questions and rediscover their connection with nature. As a wilderness educator and dad to six kiddos, I’m living the green life and have a real knack for mimicking animals – it’s my way of bringing nature to life!”

Huge:
“Nature has always been my home, and it made me strong and happy as a kid – that’s exactly what I want to share with others. I love being outdoors, listening to the crackle of the fire, and deciphering the secret language of birds.”

And the kids are happy!

Experiencing Outdoor Time: At These Schools, We Make Nature the Classroom

More Outdoor Time for a Green Future! 🌿🌍

Imagine children discovering nature with all their senses – feeling, marveling, understanding. This is how we nurture a generation that values and protects the environment. But how can they learn this if being outdoors becomes the exception?

With Outdoor Time, we’re changing that!

We enable children to experience nature and playfully understand it, helping them grow into true environmental champions. Join us in strengthening environmental awareness for the future – for children, nature, and our shared tomorrow!!
