What else we do
The foundation focuses on the Outdoor Time, Agroforestry, and Solar Oven projects in Uganda. Another concern is the expansion of the tree nursery in Cape Verde. In addition, the foundation has already addressed the following topics and supported projects worldwide: reforestation (renaturation), forest protection, tree planting in cities and municipalities, species protection, biodiversity, education, and volunteer work.
ONGOING COLLABORATIONS
On the Cape Verdean island of Santiago, in the northern part of the city of Tarrafal, lies the Delta Cultura education and leisure centre, which was founded in 2002 by Florian Wegenstein and his wife Marisa.
In May 2019, the idea to help an industrially plagued town in Bosnia started developing.
2023
The Daniel Schlegel Umweltstiftung is supporting the municipality of Hessisch-Oldendorf in planting 20 fruit trees as part of the “Hessisch-Oldendorf blüht auf!” initiative.
The Daniel Schlegel Umweltstiftung is supporting a six-month voluntary placement for Silja Unger in Costa Rica for the non-profit organisation “First Aid for Wonderful Nature e.V.” (FAWN).

The Daniel Schlegel Umweltstiftung is supporting the planting of eight climate-resistant trees in the gardens and cemetery of Fischbeck Abbey in Lower Saxony.

A former farmland in the region around Alfhausen in Lower Saxony is now 20 trees richer. To achieve this, we joined forces with friends and planted the old fruit varieties ourselves.
