‘We now produce vegetables and bread grains on around 50 hectares of farmland for the Apfeltraum subscription box, the Demeter bakery Märkisches Landbrot and the Berlin natural food trade, among others.’

Carmen and Jan are committed to sustainable agriculture with working horses and biodynamic farming methods. Demeter vegetables and bread grain thrive on their WaldPferdeHof farm, cold-blooded horses do the work of the tractors and they pass on their knowledge of natural farming in seminars.

The agroforestry system

Creation of a 5 metre wide border with fruit trees, nut trees, berry bushes and hedge elements as a usable field hedge.

Details → The field edge strip protects against wind erosion and dehydration and provides a habitat for birds and insects.

We are happy about the cooperation with Klimapraxis gUG in order to support the WaldPferdeHof in its sustainable agriculture. By using working horses, avoiding chemicals and focussing on biodiversity, the farm actively contributes to environmental protection.
