Verein für Ökologie, Gesundheit und Bildung

‘In our diverse and small-scale agriculture ‘Alles im Grünen Bereich’, which is managed according to Bioland principles, we cultivate around 53 hectares of agricultural land, of which around 20 hectares are arable land.’

The team around Max from ÖGB e.V. has been organising educational events and running a conference centre for 30 years. It also organises two-year training courses in fruit tree care and offers fruit tree pruning courses as well as guided tours on bio-intensive vegetable growing, regenerative agriculture and agroforestry.

Who lends a hand here:

‘Against the backdrop of increasing drought problems, even in our latitudes, a turnaround in land management is urgently needed. Due to the increase in heavy rainfall events, more and more of the urgently needed rain is leaving the land as surface runoff and can lead to serious flooding and erosion.’
~ Max, ÖGB e.V.

The agroforestry system

A hydrologically and nature conservation-optimised agroforestry system for value and energy wood production is being created on 2.6 ha of arable land with mainly poplars, native shrubs and retention basins.

Details → The agroforestry system improves the water balance, provides wind protection, promotes biodiversity and serves as a practical learning centre for environmental education.

Ökologie, Gesundheit und Bildung e.V. is committed to sustainability, health and education – values that are also important to us. Together, we want to bring about positive change.

Would you also like to campaign for sustainable, regional agriculture? Then support us – together we can make a big difference!
