‘The aim is to return the farm to a resilient use that feeds people and enables future generations to make a living from farming.’

Marie, Lewis and their team are committed to sustainable farming without pesticides and synthetic fertilisers. They promote robust varieties, wild herb utilisation and nature conservation, while Marie also passes on her values educationally.

Who lends a hand here:

‘For me, agroforestry means not talking about problems, but implementing solutions.’
~ Marie, Hof Woeste

The agroforestry system

87 old varieties (apple, pear, plum, damson) were planted that can withstand heavy soils and cold springs.

Details → The rows of trees follow the contours of the hillside to work parallel to the slope and slow down rainwater. Robust apple and pear varieties grow in colder, wetter regions, while plums and damsons thrive at sunnier, higher altitudes.

We support Hof Woeste in its mission for sustainable agriculture. With a focus on healthy food, without chemicals and robust varieties, they contribute to environmental protection – principles that we are happy to promote.

Would you also like to support sustainable, regional agriculture? Then support us – together we can make a big difference!
