Who lends a hand here:

‘In a cleared landscape like the Oderbruch, planting trees is particularly important to us.’
~ Renée, Bastaer Loose e.V.

The agroforestry system

An edible hedge of various herbs (e.g. lungwort, cranesbill, snake knotweed), shrubs (thyme, olive willow, hazelnut) and trees (apple, silver willow, bee tree) on a vegetable plot.

Details → Planting of the hedge with different height structures; next to the hedge beds there is an intercrop mixture as an insect paradise, which serves as transfer mulch after rearing.

We are proud to support the Bastas agroforestry system. The association stands for organic farming, active solidarity and a respectful approach to nature – a place of community action.
